Andy and Stacey’s Autumn Wedding

November 3, 2015City: Minneapolis, MN Venue: Double Tree by Hilton, Saint John's Lutheran Church

Andy proposed to Stacey the day they moved into their first apartment together. She made it difficult for him though! First, she neglected to tell him she had a dance rehearsal. Then she came home but insisted on running errands and getting things done around the apartment. Andy finally had to make Stacey stop what she was doing and sit down so he could pop some champagne and the big question. Thankfully, his busy girl said “Yes”!

The couple then got busy planning the big event. The perfect dress was purchased, dance numbers were choreographed, and the colors coordinated. Andy even took the time to practice for their first dance. Every detail was carefully chosen, and soon they were ready to celebrate their love with their closest friends and family.

It was a beautiful September wedding day. The sun was shining and the bride and groom were on cloud nine. The bridesmaids were gorgeous in magenta frocks, and the groomsmen dapper in matching suits. They all had some fun on the playground, even daring to hit the slide before heading to the church! The ceremony was elegant and emotional. The love and support of their family and friends made Andy and Stacey’s nuptials all the more special.

Everyone had a blast at the reception! The first dance was beautiful. Andy’s hard work was evident as the couple floated across the dance floor, and Stacey was glowing with pride and love for her new hubby. The professional dance routines the bride performed with her friends were outstandingly entertaining. The bride had a ball being ‘stolen’ away until the groom got his chance to steal her back. All the fun on the dance floor truly made this celebration of love extra special.

Congratulations Andy and Stacey! Every wedding is unique and this one was no exception. You really made this day your own and I am honored to have been a part of it.

Christie and Scott’s Northwoods Engagement

These two wonderful people met during their senior year of college, and have been together since 2007. Christie says that they met in “the world’s most romantic spot”, a favorite bar of course!

The evening of Scott’s grand proposal didn’t go exactly as he planned it. He made reservations at the restaurant where their first date happened, but missed out because Christie had to work late. Instead, he took her to their favorite pizza place later that evening, and popped the question there. She was completely surprised and was so excited to answer “Yes!”

I really enjoyed spending time with this great couple at their family cabin in the north woods of Wisconsin. The fall leaves were at their peak, and the serene beauty of the lake was an amazing setting for these engagement shots. They were so natural and comfortable together, and that made it easy to capture so many great photos!

Marcus and Jamie’s Fall Engagement Session

October 28, 2015City: Saint Paul, MN Venue: Harriet Island, Mississippi River

Shortly before relocating from Texas to Saint Paul, Marcus set up a faux double-date with some friends. He told Jamie that they were going to meet and take some last pictures before the big move, but their friends never showed up. It was all part of his grand plan to start their next big adventure together with a fantastic surprise! Jamie said “Yes!” to Marcus’ heartfelt proposal, and the newly engaged couple was soon heading north to Minnesota.

The couple chose Harriet Island themselves. When Marcus first tried to convince Jamie to move north, she was unsure until they visited this spot. That was when she saw the beauty of Minnesota and fell in love with St. Paul. It was the perfect choice!

Their afternoon engagement shoot was beautiful. The brisk fall wind whipped off the Mississippi River, and the Saint Paul skyline provided the perfect urban background for great romantic shots. As the leaves fall and winter heads our way these Texans will be prepared; a love like that will help keep them warm all winter long!

Congratulations Marcus and Jamie! I can’t wait for the big day!

Mark and Michelle’s Frosty Sunrise Engagement Shoot

October 28, 2015City: Saint Paul, MN Venue: Lake Como

This easy-going couple met through a friend and quickly knew they had found their better half. Being together was so easy and natural that when Mark decided to pop the question, he already knew what Michelle’s answer would be.

The holiday season is very special to Michelle and the Christmas tree is one of her favorite things. Mark decided to add a new ornament last year for her to find, and with some searching she certainly did! His sweet proposal added so much to their already joyful holidays and Michelle now wears that special ‘ornament’ on her finger.

There was frost on the ground and a bite to the air during their sunrise engagement session, but this lovely couple kept smiles on their faces. Their excitement was contagious and made capturing their young love easy to do. The park around Lake Como provided many great spots to shoot, and the sun kept them just warm enough to enjoy the beautiful fall day.

Matt and Meagan’s Engagement Pics

These two teachers met at work in January of 2012 while teaching high school math. Matt and Meagan found the time in their very busy schedules to get to know each other in between teaching, coaching basketball, and directing plays at the school.

Their dedication to their students drew them together and on November 21st of 2012 they had their official first date. Three years later, this wonderful couple is ready to tie the knot!

With the wedding plans in motion and a busy school season underway, this day out on Park Point was a perfect way for Matt and Meagan to relax and just enjoy some time together. The fall colors were in full swing and the sunshine warmed the air just enough to stay cozy.

I had a lot of fun with these two and I can’t wait for the wedding next month! Congratulations!
