Lutsen Mountains Archives - Duluth, MN Wedding Photography

Jake and Molly flew in for a weekend getaway and fall color engagement photos. Instead, they got stranded at O’Hare in Chicago for an entire day cutting the weekend short (I blame Jake’s sister Jamie). When they finally made it to Duluth, it was long past dark, so we were forced to bump their session. The next day the Fall Colors were prime, and the weather was downright miserable. We leisurely drove up the North Shore stopping at all the usual suspects: Brighton Beach, Stoney Point, Gooseberry Falls, Palisade Head and finally to Lutsen Mountain. Even though Lake Superior was ornery, it was well worth the drive.

Don’t look down!

We rode the Gondola to the top of Lutsen Mountain, and the colors were well worth it.

There are few places with better fall colors than Northern Minnesota!

Brighton Beach after Lake Superior settled down a bit.

The bitter north winds whipped off Lake Superior and straight to the top of Lutsen Mountain leaving only Caitie and Jeff to keep each other warm. The views and snow covered trees made engagement photos all the more spectacular and made us especially grateful for the blazing fire at Lutsen Resort. Congrats to Caitie and Jeff and WARM wishes for your wedding.
