Jon and Miranda met at a music festival after Jon felt the urge to get up and move. At the time he didn’t know why but instinctually made a B-line straight to Miranda. He boldly asked if she needed help with her tent, and the more they got to talking, the more they found in common. Four years later they married at Enger Tower overlooking all of Duluth. They skipped the traditional wedding party, flowers, cake, and DJ; all they needed was family, friends, and love.

Brad & Miala met on Match and had many wonderful conversations until complete radio silence for nearly a month. Miala went offline but couldn’t stop thinking about “this amazing guy.” When she tried to find him again her account had been deactivated. She was determined to find him with a new account. After plenty of searching, they found each other once more. Brad immediately asked her on a date; sushi and martinis at Blackwater. At the end of the night, Brad asked to see her again, and she responded: “I will believe it when I hear from you again.” To Miala’s surprise, he texted her that night and the next day. The two have been together since.
I said “put a little snow down his back,” and Miala was more than happy to oblige.

Lake Superior was frozen, and we were able to walk out to Uncle Harvey’s Mausoleum.
Ice as far as the eye can see.
“If she’s amazing, she won’t be easy. If she’s easy, she won’t be amazing. If she’s worth it, you won’t give up. If you give up, you’re not worthy. … Truth is, everybody is going to hurt you; you just gotta find the ones worth suffering for. -Bob Marley
Lex and Maddie’s engagement session took place on a cloudy grey morning at Enger Tower but that didn’t stop the two from having a bit of fun. After a stroll around the park, it was clear to see that these two are ready to tie the knot and make it official. Congratulations Lex and Maddie!

Nick and Kelly met for the very first time in fourth grade. It was Nick’s first year at a new school, and he ended up in the same fourth-grade classroom as Kelly. Despite going to the same school and the fact that they both knew who the other person was, they didn’t talk to each other much until their junior year of high school.
On one fateful day, Kelly got Nick’s number at a high school speech meet because she believed he would be a fun friend to have. Nick got the wrong idea and thought they were going to be more than that. One day, Kelly asked Nick to hang out on a Wednesday night, but he was busy. That Friday, however, they ended up going out, and it, inevitably, turned into a date, even though Kelly had completely friend-zoned him. Not long after that, the happy couple fell for each other, and they have been together for more than five years.
Nick proposed to Kelly by asking him to meet her at the Newman Center at UMD. He knew that Kelly had been going to the Newman since high school and that it is a very special place to her. When she arrived, he walked her down an aisle created by 400 candles. Right before the altar, Nick got down on one knee and asked Kelly to marry him. She, tears streaming down her face, said yes. In the flurry of the moment, the couple realized that the carpet had caught fire! They quickly blew out three candles that had burned through to the carpet. It was a beautiful, joy-filled moment.
Nick and Kelly’s engagement photo session took place at Enger Tower. It was a gorgeous day complete with a beautiful overlooking view of Duluth, the sun shining brightly, and the changing color of the leaves.
