John and Anna’s Lutsen Wedding

John and Anna met for the first time at a Bible camp. That summer, they formed a secret camp romance, where they would sneak away to “study the bible.” Life took them their separate ways for awhile, but eventually, they reunited and made it official. Their beautiful wedding ceremony took place at the Summit Chalet in Lutsen, MN, on a blustery, chilly day. Despite the severe weather predictions, the skies cleared and the sun came out just in time for the ceremony, which John’s brother officiated. It was a beautiful day to celebrate these two lovebirds. Kent and Sarah’s Golf Course Wedding

City: Bayfield, WI Venue:

Kent and Sarah said “I do” at the Apostle Highlands Golf Course in Bayfield, WI. They tied the knot on the very same day Sarah’s parents and grandparents got married as well. On her wedding day, Sarah’s parents had been married 33 years, and her grandparents had been married 61 years. While Kent and Sarah got married, Sarah’s parents and grandparents renewed their vows, so it truly was a special day. The reception featured a popcorn and Bloody Mary bar, as well as a hysterical groomsmen speech delivered by Kent’s son to close the night. Congratulations Kent and Sarah, thanks for letting me be a part of your special day!

Ben and Rachel’s Duluth Engagement

City: Duluth, MN Venue:

Ben and Rachel were a joy to photograph. For this shoot, we first stopped by their new home, where their Golden Retriever Tucker came out to play for a few photos and then headed to Brighton Beach to visit the spot where Ben proposed to Rachel. After that, we made our way to Seven Bridges Road, where the couple was able to express their love for motorcycles and each other, although Rachel did admit that she would pull the plug on Ben if he was ever caught in an accident without his helmet. Ben and Rachel know how to keep it sharp and ride in style, and they were a lot of fun to spend time with. Congratulations!






John and Anna’s Northwoods Engagement

When asked to rate their wedding John said “Well – I am a solid 6 (+/-1) and my fiancé, Anna, is a stone cold 10. . . So, I would say our wedding is going to be a strong 15, at least.” It was that moment I knew these two were going to be a fantastic couple. Our engagement photos at Lester Park and Brighton Beach just happened to land on the most beautiful day of the spring up until that point, and just 48 hours earlier there were several inches of snow and ice on the ground. 


John and Anna met at camp and went their separate ways for several years before making it official. Now the couple is planning a destination wedding up the North Shore at the Lutsen Chalet overlooking Lake Superior. If their wedding is anything like their engagement photos, it’s going to be full of laughter, fun, and dry, sarcastic humor. Perfect.

Chris and Katie’s Washington DC Engagement

City: Washington DC Venue:

Chris and Katie, both Minnesota natives living in Washington DC, started their day out with a gorgeous walk along the canal in Georgetown. After a quick stop for bubble tea, we headed to one of their favorite spots, the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. This intrepid couple flies several times a week, for work and fun, so their favorite airport was an obvious must-stop on the list. Here the happy couple took a stroll surrounded by beautiful architecture and watched a few planes take off. The next day, we made our way to Harpers Ferry for some wine tasting, and a look at the couple’s future home, which proved that even West Virginia is for lovers.

Katie and Chris were a joy to spend time with and photograph, and the trip to Washington DC made for a beautiful weekend. Thanks for showing us around, and I can’t wait to watch your love take flight!
