Travis, a modern day gentleman, asked Amanda’s parents for their blessing before proposing. He planned to do it at the cabin where they first met more than five years ago but Plan A turned into Plan B and Plan B turned into Plan C. Plan C was a romantic dinner but Amanda thought it was just another Friday night and insisted on pizza rolls. So while waiting for the pizza rolls Travis proposed with his Great Grandma’s 100 year old ring. Their wedding will be next summer and Surly, the Black Lab, may even be their ring bearer. Surly provided comic relief during their engagement session and posed perfectly as if the shoot was all about him.
Andy and Joanna’s Engagement Photos
Love is often found in the least romantic places. For Andy and Joanna it was a chance encounter at the apartment mailboxes where each of them had lived for several years. Joanna first spotted Andy but it wasn’t until they bumped into each other several times that Andy introduced himself and asked for her number. Two years later he proposed after a romantic December date by the light of their new Christmas tree and cozy fireplace. “He asked me to spend the rest of my life with him, and of course I said yes!”
Andy and Joanna will exchange vows at Luther Seminary followed by a reception along the shore of Lake Minnetonka at the Lafayette Club. Their engagement session at Elm Creek Park Reserve was the first sunny day that we’ve had all spring. Joanna led us on a walk though the woods and the photos that we captured are perfect. The flowers were blooming, the birds were singing and love was in the air. Spring has finally sprung and we have the photos to prove it.
