Aaron and Kara met through mutual friends while going to college in Wisconsin. It wasn’t until months later, and many invitations from Aaron, that the first date finally happened. The wait was worth it, and this couple of nearly a decade are ready for the next big step!

Aaron decided to book a yacht for an amazing New Year’s Eve bash, and enlisted Kara’s help with planning the party. Little did she know, she was helping to plan her own engagement celebration. At sunset Aaron took Kara to the bow of the boat, got down on one knee, and popped the question. They spent the rest of the evening with their friends, and toasting their happiness.

Their engagement session in Sarasota was laid-back and romantic. These native Northerners were quite at home in their southern surroundings. The Florida fall day was warm, and the ocean breeze soft and pleasant. Coco, their friendly English Bulldog, was great company too! This really was the perfect day to be at the beach and get some great photos of these lovebirds.

I really enjoyed this fun shoot, and I can’t wait for the wedding!

Jamie and Lawrence’s Beautiful Fall Wedding

This couple of two years set out to make their wedding day as special as their relationship. Both Jamie and Lawrence had great ideas and designs for the big day, and they worked together to plan the event. They definitely make quite a team! Everything came together perfectly for their beautiful autumn celebration.

The details were lovely and thoughtful, and the weather couldn’t have cooperated better. They chose a beautiful venue on Big Trout Lake, and the fall colors accentuated the romantic mood in the air that day. There were so many wonderful spots to take great photos, and we really took advantage of the amazing nature that surrounded them.

Jamie got ready that morning at her family cabin, her new daughter Charlotte by her side. The ceremony was held right by the calm water, and family and friends gathered to witness the vows. The Lodge was warm and comfortable, and the decor lovely and rustic. The bride, groom, and their guests were treated to a gorgeous sunset over the lake, and the romance kept going the rest of the evening.

Bobby and Sarah’s Catholic Wedding

Catholic Wedding at Church of the Assumption in St. Paul MN.

Bobby and Sarah met as children, yet their love didn’t blossom until they were in college. Now together, they took the next big step in their lives together on a gorgeous sunny day in October. They both wanted the event to feel traditional and romantic, and they definitely got their wish as they celebrated their love with friends and family.

The sun shone brightly for this sweet couple, and the whole day was filled with elegant details. The bridal bouquet was simply stunning, and also sentimental, with grandmother’s broaches placed throughout. Grandpa’s service pins were another meaningful way the bride incorporated family into her special day.

The ceremony was held under the impressive vaulted ceilings of the Church of the Assumption, and was both serene and intimate. The newlyweds and their guests then headed to the reception, where the celebration continued with dinner and dancing. Love and family surrounded this awesome twosome the entire day, and may that continue the rest of their lives.

Amber and Matt’s Saint Paul Wedding

Fall wedding at Wacuta on 413 in Saint Paul, MN.

It all started when Matt met a lovely lady at work. She was the beautiful girl in another department who kept saying “no, thank you” to his attempts to ask her out. Not one to give up, he just kept asking until Amber finally agreed to meet him for a drink after work. Matt’s persistence paid off, because it turned out to be love-at-first-date!

There had been talk of marriage for a while, but Matt’s timing was a total surprise for Amber. It was closing day on their new house, and the couple stopped at Matt’s parents’ house to pick up champagne glasses. Unbeknownst to Amber, he was also picking up a ring! His sweet proposal happened right there in the kitchen of their new home.

Their wedding was just as simple and romantic as the proposal. These self-proclaimed geeks had a fantastic time celebrating with their family and friends. The weather was gorgeous, and the venue was elegant and beautifully decorated. Their love for each other was palpable, and everyone around them could feel their strong connection.

I truly enjoyed being a part of this very special day, and offer my sincerest congratulations to the happy couple. Happy honeymooning!

April and John’s Noerenberg Garden Wedding

Noerenberg Gardens and Bayview Event Center wedding on Lake Minnetonka.

April and John grew up in the same town, went to the same schools, and had some friends in common. But, it was years after graduating when they really got to know each other. It was a cold winter night when their paths crossed again, and the heat between them was instantaneous. That heat has kept them together for five years so far, with many more to come.

These two really love nature, so the Noerenberg Gardens was the perfect venue for their fall wedding. Sun-lit foliage and flowers surrounded the happy couple and their guests while they said “I Do”. The weather was absolutely beautiful, and the new Mr and Mrs really had an amazing outdoor ceremony.

The reception at the Bayview Event Center was simple and fun , and everyone enjoyed the whimsical celebration. Dinner and dancing were a blast and it was great to see so much love and support for these two lovebirds. I was happy to be a part of the big day. Cheers to the happy couple!
